Harvest Feast

For Warehouse421 during Expo2020 UAE Pavilion

Harvest Feast is a sculptural installation that explores the paradoxes of non-seasonal food consumption and highlights the types of seasonal produce that can be naturally grown in the UAE despite its arid climate.

Acting as a physical infographic, the sculpture consists of around 100 ceramic fruits and vegetables, each in one of four colors (pink, white, green or brown) that represent the season in which they are harvested.

Real produce was used to create molds for casting the ceramic duplicates to immortalize their natural shapes as well as their unique textures.

This installation was created for “On Foraging” exhibition, commissioned by Warehouse421 and curated by Meitha Almazrooei, Dima Srouji and Faysal Tabbarah. It is displayed in the “special guest” area of the UAE pavilion in Expo2020 Dubai.
